I would keep everything as simple as possible. 1 battery, 1 receiver, skip the onboard ignition. That's just more things that can go wrong. I only fly Futaba radios. Any decent radio system will fly it. Put a heavy duty servo on the elevator. For everything else, I would just go with standard servos.

Looks like the builder was a master craftsman. Superb looking plane.

Guess I'm on the other side of the fence here. Dual batteries make a lot of sense, glow driver is a good idea, NEW servos and why not dual receivers? Modern radios and batteries are light weight and very reliable. Futuba has a great reputation, so go with their stuff.

Enjoy the plane!

Congrats on your purchase. The model is a beauty !.

My models of similar size are flown with Hitec equipment, and a single RX and battery pack. I've been using Hitec 645s for the control surfaces.

On my multi-cylinder engines, I have been using Electro Dynamic and McDaniels on board glow units. They may not be a necessity, but they do provide piece of mind. Your model is so nice that it may be a wise investment.
