Pete, I watched a bit of a show last night about trucking in Australia and saw some Road Trains. I had quite a laugh but it's all true. Gotta have some big ones to drive some of these trucks. Thought I would let the others see what I'm talking about here-
Yes, angry ants flying around aren't fun. You can find out almost the same way hitting fire ant mounts with lawnmowers down here.

That was a funny vid,the rear trailers seem to stay in line with the truck nowadays whereas years ago they swayed from one side of the whole road to the other. You needed a quick motorcycle to pass one
ps dave how big do you think the diesels are pulling big trucks like that?

We have a critter here called the Cow Killer Ant, it is not an ant at all, but a wingless wasp a little less than an inch long. As seen in picture II they have a serious stinger, the sting won't kill you but those who have been stung say you'll wish it had. The ones I've seen here are a brilliant red, not the orange that most images show. Some people kill them, I never do, they don't bother anybody. You have do do something really stupid to get stung, like pick one up, that is a king sized no no.

Yea, we were warned about them at SERE school, they will play with you and be amused with humans right till they get tired of you then they sting the you know what out of you.
Okc bull ants bite hard but dave's got me trumped with that pretty coloured ground hog wasp, nice vermillion.Good thing they don't have wings eh?...just imagine a nice sunny day on your motorcycle cruising down a road full of curves wearing a t shirt and shorts and you feel an insect bounce off the inside of your left knee and shoot straight up your shorts...that hurt.

This truck is available in your country with a 750 hp engine with 2,323 foot pounds of torque. I'd want a twin or triple screw tractor to harness that kind of power.
The male Cow Killer has wings but no stinger, he's about half the size of the female.
The LT 40 is coming along quite well.

gear is laid out a bit different from the kit. The throttle servo sits where you have the RX tray in mine. I have zero dead weight too, and the interesting part, the OS 52 that was in it needed no weight, replaced with the Saito FG-11, and still needed no weight.
Dave that sounds like a massive amount of torque, what's a screw tractor,to take that sort of load and transmit it to where?
Do you remember i posted a black boss hog i painted? the owner was back today for a new front tyre and wheel balance plus the offer of another ride but i said no thanks, once was good.Turns out it has a 6.2 litre chevy with some race parts. Here's a 2013 harley v-rod airbox/fueltank cover.Owner picked it up today and i said you should call it 'ol yeller' he said i already have. Will post a pick of the whole bike if i can get hold of one.
ps sr,story in the paper today says our state has paid out sixty million this year for injury claims to cyclists...be cheaper to bury them you think?

Pete, here, the tractor shown would be called a single screw tractor, one drive axle, tandem axle would be called a twin screw, etc. I think the new Volvo engine is 17.6 litres. That much torque would be a real frame twister.
Below is a Mack, Tridem/Tridrive/Triple screw.
Beautiful tank.

Drove a 1985 Mack Superliner twin screw back in the 80's. What a nice truck that was, and powerful. Beat a hill pull against a new Cummings 400, which at the time was supposed to be a very powerful engine.

well I went and did guys, I sure did, I ordered 2 engines, don't tell my wife,
Engine A) a pre-owned, never fueled, never mounted, never rubbed, never tickled, NIB Saito 100 for a rather good price,
Engine B) I know, I know while not a Saito, while not a 4 Stroke, I have always wanted one, I just had to have one, a K&B 100 AerO, my God it weighs the same as my OS 61FX (with or without mufflers), same weights within just a few grams,
don't forget, I still have to order the Saito 125 for my P-40.
now see what I just did^^, 1) I bought a 2 Stroke, 2) and I used those 3 numbers, 1, 2 and 5, I hope I didn't upset any one,
yee-up, I did it all-right, and when I get them babies, I'm,, I'm going get down on the floor and roll around with them and play with them like a litter of puppies
Jim
PS, any one want to buy a used OS 61FX for a good price ??

You done good Jim, when you get that 1.25 I'll make you a Velocity stack for it. Here's my K&B 1.00 with a Davis Diesel head, it turns a Graupner 14x7 three blade at 9,000.
Beautiful painting there Pete, I have an LED tail/stop light on my bike and a an LED headlight ring around the front light.

I think the 125 comes with a Velocity stack, but if it doesn't I will take you up on the offer.
OF, I like the bike, and that paint too, many guys put just to much paint on their bikes,I guess they make the seat like that to hold the guy on the bike when leaving the line LOL,

Dave, it's still not letting me post it all !!! ???

in the mid 80s my friend (strong as an Ox) had a big ol Kawasaki, 900 ? 1000? <not sure what it was but it was big (been a long time), if he didn't like the rear tire, OR if it was getting old from leaving rubber, he would then pour Bleach on his driveway (bleach is think and slippery) and burn the tire off, he'd have it in, like 3rd gear and the engine would be screaming, he would get a huge white cloud of smoke, he has photos (LOL the crazy SOB LOL), my thoughts on that were "how could he do that to an engine"
