Tbone, I'm using an on board glow driver by Ram on my Saito 62A mounted on a Slow Poke 40, Idles around 1800. Anything past 1/4 idle and the on board glow cuts off.

Not a glow fuel engine, it's gasoline. None the less, I thought the Saito enthusiasts would appreciate it:

Confused, the saito carb's needles will sometimes affect each other........ so try opening the high speed needle about 2 turns or more, and then reset the low speed and see what happens.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
i use saito plugs in a saito (i ordered a couple hangar 9 plugs, they sent saito brand). os "f" in os and ys. people have told me to use only ys or os in ys engines. the saito/hangar 9 is a good plug for saito's. i have been under the impression there is a difference between the two. in some ways the hangar 9 is better quality.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
Hey Guys: im having a problem with my saito 1.25. its in a H9 spitfire and when im fueling it, fuel is running out of the carb. if i close the carb then it runs out of the crome tube that goes from the carb to the head. I have a vent, and it is clear, meaning i can blow through it easly. If i pinch the tube going to the carb I can fuel er up jus fine. Any ideas???

An idle at 1000 RPM may be unrealistic for a Saito.

Thats what everyone tells me. I still need to try the 15x6 APC sport on it 1st.

What tube are you pumping the fuel into? you should use the carb tube. The clunk(carb tube) is at the bottom of the tank and any fuel with pressure added to tank is coming out the clunk tube.

I get around 10,600 on my .72 on 15%. 12,000 RPM is the limit.

Hello folks.
Disassembled my FA-72.
I wasn't watching when I removed the piston pin from the piston.
Which end goes forward, the end with the small opening, or the end with the larger opening?
Thanks.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
awesome!!! This is my first go around with Saitos and four strokes for that matter... The guys at the field rave about these Saitos so if you can't beat em, join em.. I still love my OS 2 strokes though.

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
I have a question!
I am new to saito engines but from what I have heard then seem to be pretty damn good. That said...I have installed a FA-220a in my H9 P-51D. My trouble is getting it to idle without cutting out and keeping my model from moving. I am runnig a APC 19x8 two blade in it right now. Anyone with advise on this? I want my bird not to move when the engine is idle.
HELP

Ok , right now the plug that I am using is the Saito SS. ( original equipment )
So, you use the "stock" Saito plugs all the time? ( Saito ss ?)

RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !
can't go wrong w/a saito plug in a saito. i said earlier, i ordered hangar 9 plugs a few weeks ago (they are supposed to be basically identical), i was sent saito "ss", they may now be the same plug.
i use os in an os and ys (or ys in ys).
i have been told there are differences in some ways, but the saito plug is very good, stay w/it. and priced below os type "f".
