One Kadet MkII, three Kavaliers, two Kougars, 1 1/5th scale Cub and two 1/4 scale Cubs
and I'm thinking very seriously about another 1/4 scale Cub.

I've got 2 Somethin Extras that were given to me. I built a Kavalier that I may put back into service, and there's a NIB kit stashed away. I had a Wonder kit but gave it to a buddy. Had a 4 Star 40 kit but sold it. I had students build LT 40s and SSEs. I'm halfway finished with a 4 Star 20 now. Can I get a number?

Sign me up please. I've worked at SIG for 42 years and built just about everything we've put out during that time, so I guess I'm qualified.

Hey Mike since you have been with SIG for so long answer a question for me please. How many kits does SIG have to sell to justify making a run of an existing kit? And if SIG were to get enough pre-order commitments, maybe including a deposit, would they consider making a run of one of their obsolete kits?

That is a solid question. What would it take to ressurect a kit from the dusty shelves?

I just "discovered the Rascal 110 yesterday & now I have to have one.

I'm looking for a home for my Saito Fa180 on steroids. It's based on a case that is milled .035" & the compression ratio is upped to 12.8:1. The intake manifold is ported for 12mm FA220 "Big Bore" carburetor.

Running CDI spark @ 35° BTDC W/15% Cool Power it makes just a bit less than 3 1/2 HP. (18 X 8 @ 8450 RPM) That ought to make for some interesting aerobatics yet be light enough to float around.

SIG is expecting a shipment in April so I need to get some $$$ squirreled away.

I was going to do another Sr Telemaster, but this bird looks like it’s a lot more capable & just as easy to fly.
My trainer was a Sr Telemaster W/a Saito Fa150 that I later converted to CDI.

Sign me up please! I grew up not far from the Sig factory in the 70s and 80s. Sig kits will always be my all time favorites. I'm a member of the Sig Kadet Brotherhood and was just made aware of this one.

I used to have a Sig Kommander I now regret selling that plane. It was such a fun airplane to fly. Would be nice if Sig brought it back.

SIG is busy converting all its kits to lazer cut, its a lot of work and as soon as they get all their current kits converted they should have time to work on the classics. The old die cutting method was almost medieval . They used anchient newspaper printing presses to die cut the balsa.

That is the order as I see it. Hope this helps. Sorry if I got the order wrong in a couple places. Maybe we can use this as the go by until the OP comes back.

I will go through and correct the list when I get a chance, and edit post #1.

I would love to see SIG come out with a scale P-40 or P-47, I would buy one right away(as long as it is a kit and not an ARF). I have a total of 6 kit built planes, 3 are SIG, two are TF and one is a CG. SIG hands down has the best kits.

Hey, where are your pics!

Now that is good news! Laser cutting will give SIG more flexibility in the future and hopefully lower their production costs. When is the first laser cut kit due to hit the market and which Kadet will it be?
