As a manufacturer in the Lipo arena, we think it is important to produce a safe, high quality product. But even more important is to honestly and accurately test and advertise the REAL specifications and capabilities of each model battery. Most of the batteries in the marketplace CANNOT be operated at the advertised discharge rates. This is deceptive, unfair and expensive for consumers.

All of our packs are tested as "packs". We don't test single cells and show you graphs hoping you will believe that single cells will perform the same in a pack. The fact is that they don't. The heat buildup in packs is much greater due to the inability of the cells to dissipate heat. We post the discharge graphs (including bursts) right on our site.

In summary, we print the specs right on the label. We clearly state how you can use the pack. Check out our website and you'll see that we try to share what we've learned and help you get the most for your money in the Lipo marketplace.

We invite your comments and suggestions.

The easiest way to know is to register on the site and add items to the cart and take the order to the end so it will show the shipping charges. You can cancel the order before it is finalized.

What pack on your website would you suggest for a 1/10 scale off-road truck? If any.

I bought your 8C and 10C 2000Mah batteries. Price, shipping, Quality of construction and wiring looks very good. They charged right up. I liked the fact they had the balance taps/connector wired in. Unfortunately as is so often the case in the electrics arena as well as RC in general, your connector on the battery is not compatible with the connector on my already owned expensive standalone balancer module. Both connectors are similar--4 pins but it appears spine separation on plug bodies, pin spacing and pin diameter are not compatible. Can you send me mate to your plug with no connector on one end? I'll have to build me a converter cable. I looked all over (internet, electronic stores) for your plug but without specific nomenclature it is almost impossible to find the right plug.

Thank you.

We are starting a new promotion to introduce our 15C - 2100mAh packs. We have posted the test data graph on our website showing 31 amp continuous discharge with a 5 second burst of 42 amps every 30 seconds. As with all our packs, the true discharge capabilites are printed right on the pack label.

This pack is sized for the T-REX helicopter as well as planes.

Here's the introductory offer:

One pack for $60 plus shipping - use the coupon code "single2100" at check out.

Two packs for $110 and get free shipping - use the coupon code "double2100" at check out.

We will throw in an adapter cord that will allow you to plug our pack into the TP-205 balancer for free with the purchase of either one or two packs.

Mike,

I have two of your packs and charger and a friend also got two packs and a charger. They are very nice and the charger couldn't be easier to use. I like the fact that the batteries will always be balanced. I'll be showing them off at three local club meetings in February before the WRAMS. Will you be at that show?

I wish you the best of luck.

I've use two brands of LiPo's currently, sorry I was not aware of your products before, however I do like the looks of your LiPo balance charger. I've got CellPro from FMA and Duralite from Duralite, they all have the balance plugs, will your unit work with my LiPo's?

Can you send pictures of their connectors? We have adapters that can be spliced onto any battery type, but we also have some pre-made that just plug in.

I just discovered your batteries, and it looks like I missed a sale. Do you think that you might be having another sale soon? I'm looking for some large 5s4p packs, and need at least two of them. 5s3p might work also. I see where you list on your sight that the 3p and 4p packs discharge at almost the same 90 and 95 Amp rate. I would love to save the weight in my airplane if I can get the same performance out of the smaller packs.
thanks,
Darrell B.

A look back at commentaries from us Dudes in the trenches will see that I have always supported and recommended Mike Komm for his honesty and good products. BUT NO MORE! He came out with his balance/charger that he ballyhooed as the best thing since sliced bread. So I bought one. And Mike gave me a good deal on it too. I used it a couple of times on my new heli and then got disenchanted with helis and so didn''t use the charger for quite a while. When I got back into electric flight with a plane, I hooked up my new Lipo battery to Mike's charger and POOF!, there went the charger. Blown up! No reverse polarity protection, so when I plugged in the battery ( the connector looked right and hooked up correctly, but was reverse polarized) because there was no electronic protection and no fuse, it blew up the charger! Now, all along Mike has recognized that his charger had shortcomings and he was in fact, working on a replacement charger to address these failings. So, when my mishap occured, I called Mike and told him what happened and he said, in effect, "You got an Arkansas warranty with it!" Not familiar with an Arkansas Warranty? It says that, " If it breaks in half, both halves are yours!" And then he offered me a discount on his new charger that had features to prevent just what happened to me! I wasn't extremely happy with that and told him so. And so, now when I hear his name mentioned or read something about his products, I get a sour taste in my mouth and I'm pretty dog-gone sure I'll never buy anything from him again!

One of the things that I've been proudest of since founding the company is that every one of our products comes with clear instructions, written in English, that can be followed by any of our customers. On the specific product being discussed by Richard above, the very first thing on those instructions is that you absolutely must check the polarity on a pack before plugging it in, as it can damage both the charger and the battery.

Another thing I'm proud of is our commitment to taking care of customers. When Richard called us to tell us that he had shorted out the charger by plugging in a battery with reversed polarity, we went the extra mile and offered him a great deal on one of our new digital chargers, because the analog charger has been discontinued.

We stand behind our products. Every thing we sell has been pain stakingly tested for performance, accuracy, and ease of use. However, when a customer refuses to read the included instructions, and misuses the product, they void the warranty. But, accidents do happen, and we do our best to offer alternatives to make sure that your mistakes can be less costly.

And while IO'm blasting Mike Komm for selling a product that he already had a replacement for in the works - Ain't that snaky!
Now I notice, and while I don't know how long it's been this way, I wonder how a manufacturer, salesman gets to be a moderator on our forums? Talk about Snaky!!

It's a Common Sense RC thread! What do you expect? You can go and bash in the appropriate areas all you want.

I got the balance charger also and I knew it's limits. I was also pretty certain something better would be coming since I got such a good deal. It still works for me!
Notice the plain ordinary DVD recorders are pretty cheap....because the dual layer ones are out and BlueRay is on the way! That's the way the world works!

Hi,

I know this is a CommonSense thread but was wondering how many charge cycles can I get from a Lipo battery. I have a Blade CX2 heli.

Thanks

Just bought two 1100 3 cell packs a couple weeks ago. Great batteries!. Run cooler with the spacing. Maybe all the manif. will some day get together on the wiring code and connectors . Anyway your ahead of the rest.
