TMooreATX,

Is the manual the reason that the release date been pushed back? Cuase if that is the only reason I will plop the money on the table right now!

No, not that I'm aware of.  The manual is almost done.  At this point, the radios are still on the water.

TMooreATX,
Thanks for your insight and input into the SD-10G,   I could care less about trainer capability but at $2299.00 for a 14MZ and $1499.00 for a 12X I think I can afford to buy two SD-10G if I need a trainer box.   To be honest in our club (over 400 members ) no one has ever asked to use an ATX buddy box that I know of.   Come to think of it there are only 3 big time Stylus users in the North Dallas area.  Myself one pattern flyer and one turbine pilot (that says he is selling his radio and buying Jr )

Glad to hear all the new gadgets and toys coming out.

We need a big T-Shirt that says............FLY THIS JR LOVERS......and    DONT LET TO LOST FRAMES HIT YOU IN THE BATTERY BOX !

LOL
jds

By the way TMooreATX thank you for the direct answer thats really all I've been wanting,  as for the trainer capabilities I dont care either more intrested in the features I can use for IMAC type flying.  And the manual not being on line yet doesnt bother me either cuase I'll learn the system faster if i can go through the menu and features on the radio while reading the book, I was just worried that something was wrong with the radio itself, and that was the reason for the delay.

But I can live for a few more weeks!

Cap10b, if you can get some of those shirts made I'll buy one!!!!

The radio is fabulous.  The things that it can do at the price point will make you very happy with your purchase and the ability to update via web based downloads is a real plus.

just tug a little harder!!!  I just got to wait for my paycheck to clear and then I'm calling hobbypeople and gettin mine backorderd!

The one question I just thought of is about the binding, is it like the RDS8000 with the push-button type, cuase that is pretty painless.

Hobby shop called me today and told me that his distributor ( I'm assuming thats hobby people ) called him back today and told him they would have the 10Gs in their hands at the end of next week. Then it would ship to him and be on his door step in 4 days. He's figuring he will have one in house for me on the 11th.

Hey If your going to pirint em up I'll take whatever you got just let me know how much I owe ya!

AND I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Just Orderd my 10G from hobbypeople total with express shipping was 573.06  thats the most I have ever spent on a radio but it should be worth it!!!!!!!!!

I do have another question though, this is my first Spread Spectrum Radio and I'm wondering about the dual reciever antennas.  I know they have to be mounted 90* from eachother but does the orentation to the plane or the reciever itself make any diffrence?  i.e do they need to be facing the front of the plane rear of the plane, do they have to 90* to the rx case as well?

James

I just got the latency numbers as compared to a few of the popular radios and the SD10G is more than 3 times faster than a 9303 and 2.75 times faster than a 12X.

This was posted today on the RCGENERAL (Hobby People) blog.  "Not enough to fill all orders" was contrary to what I was told Wednesday by a Hobby People rep. I would think that Mike or someone from Global Hobbies would set the record  straight!

"To all you Airtronics fans, I have great news. I have received confirmation from the factory that our shipment of SD10G the newest and finest 10 Channel radio we have ever tested, and the M11X which is the fastest, most feature packed car radio in the world have shipped by air tonight. This is our 3rd shipment of the M11X have almost sold out this shipment like the first two. Receivers are coming as well. The not so good news on the SD10G is that we will not be able to fill all orders with this shipment. Airtronics is working around the clock to build these radios so we can support all of our customers. Thank you again all you Airtonics fans, I think you will be excited as we are to receive your new radios.
For all you you who have yet to order, be sure to ask your dealer to order 1 for you, or go to www.hobbypeople.net and backorder one today.

take good care,
Matt"

so...here is the picture for the shirt...I need a better picture as this one is from the Airtronics website, but we can sort that when one of you actually GETS one!!

If anyone wants one the picture will be on the left front  and I can put anything on the back of the shirt if wanted.

$12 per shirt, plus postage.

www.cnd-imaging.com (shop not working right now but that will be sorted out soon I hope.).

Got the August 2009 " Model Airplane News Buyers Guide".  No mention of the new Airtronics SD 10G transmitter. I was hoping there would be an article and I could read something about it.

Mr. Bigg,

I would say yes....that about sums it up. Tomorrow I will once again call my local Hobby Shop who I ordered the transmitter through and see if they can confirm the "come pick it up on the 11th or 12th" date that they gave me a while back. At that point that was solid. Today...........all bets are off. They tell me they cant confirm a date anymore.

Ever seen a "Bigfoot" ? Bet you have heard about him....................... The question is....................is he real ?

Really, I just want the shananigans to be over and for it to be in my hands. I believe I will love the radio. I dont know that I can stand the length of the preshow game.
