Hello Mark,
I have your Li-Manganese ECU battery....3800 mah 7.4 volt 2-cell 2s1p.....with 14 gage power lead.....The instruction sheet says i can also charge this battery through the power lead if i want to.....So my question is: If i charge through the power lead, doesn't charging this way defeat the purpose of the charge safe circuitry module within the battery?

FYI.....I have both the Duralite charger and a Orbit Pocketlader charger

Thanks,

Richard

Hi Richard,

You can charge through the power output lead at a higher rate (1C +) as the balance circuit will continue to function normally. This allows quick charging and still ensures the pack is balanced.

You can also charge through the yellow charge lead at a maximum charge rate of 1 amp without damaging the circuit.
