Several years ago I bought a 959 charger. This was shortly before the 969 came out. I used the charger very little, but on one occasion when I was charging a battery, as soon as I pressed the ON switch I heard a loud "Pop" and the charger would not work. I sent it back, got it repaired, and it worked just fine.

The other day I got it out to charge a battery. I plugged it in, and as soon as I attached the battery(without pressing the ON button) the unit stated emitting smoke. I immediately turned it off. I have no intention of returning it for repairs.

Has anyone had a similar problem with MRC chargers? I hadn't planned to buy a new charger soon; I thought it might be awhile before I used lipos. I guess that will have to be my next purchase.

Why don't you send it in to us and I'll repair it for you?  The only thing I would ask for is $8 for return s&h.

Tim, I would, but it would be the second time I've sent it in for repairs.
I appreciate the offer, but I think I must just have a bad unit.

Sincerely,
Mr. Darian Rachal

Hey Darian,

Are you still at the same address?  920 apt 2?
