I was told on another post to soak my lipo's in salt water if they were puffing,

So I filled up 3/4 of a plastic gallon milk container, poured in about 3/4 of a box of kitchen salt, mixed it up, and dropped in the lipo's...

I then put them outside in my firepit just incase anything went wrong, the pit would contain the fire....
This morning, I covered it with a bucket to shield it from the sun...

This evening when I checked on them, most of the salt had settled to the bottom of the container and the two lipo's I had in there had obviously puffed up about 200% of what they were...

I pulled them out, stirred up the salt again, and put them back in the water and back in the pit...

My question is, Is that puffing I'm seeing normal behavior for this method of destroying them and how long should I be soaking them?

Also, the foil that seals the batteries still looked sealed, so how is the salt water effecting the battery?

Thanks in advance!
