Well i had this issue with my 977 at the beggining of the summer where channel A would work for a full like 2 seconds which sucked cuz i really got spoiled and was enjoying the benifits of charging 2 batts at once, either way, today i was like okay i know its nothing up to the bullet plugs, sooo i pulled it apart, this can be done fairly easily for anybody who was a dremel, i just made all the trox head screws flat head screws, then ba-da bing ba-da boom, i was i the guts, its pretty easy to pull apart once you get the 4 screws that hold on the cover where the wires come out of, i'd remove this cover because once you do you can take out all the circutry, okay once you get that cover off, slide the top section off this may take a little force but it slides off you may have to lift it a little to get it to come, then you can un plug the 2 wires attaching the top board to the lower, there are some metal plates that press some mofsets i think they are, same thing that pokes outta the top of your esc anyways, that are pressed against a metal plate and the sides of the charger i assuem for heat dissapation remove these there is 2 torx scres and 1 philps for the A channel set, dealt with the same way as the other torx screws, and then for the B side its 2 philps and 1 torx this is due to the differnt arrangemtns in the mofsets, probally because of the discharging capablilties of the A channel, after you do this the bottom board should just slide out
well either way once i got all this apart, i couldn't find anything that had desoldered its slef or looked out of place so i check the plugs that i had pulled from the top board, and the one for the A channel i assume its A cuz its bigger, was half unpluged, this was pretty annoying that it came this way and i assume wasn't plugged in properly from the factory it it came loose, so if anyone is haveing the issue where you plug in the batt and then hit charge and the voltage jumps up and down, then it stops this is probally this issue
