I'd like to:

1. cut the Robart Oleo strut to the length I need
2. solder the cylinder (cylinders?) they provided into the end of the strut
3. place the strut into the hole in the Spring Air...

You're using Robart Oleo struts in a Spring Air retract? That might solve a very large problem I've been having with the Spring Air company. In mid January I ordered $42-worth of 3/16"...
