I think you may have some troble with your plan unless you resort to Stork Legs for your US60.

A 13" Prop is about the best you can do with the stock gear height.

Do you have the ground clearance for the prop that the DLE 20 swings?

The US 60 was designed around an 11" prop.

Your stuffing a 1,169 HP super charged V12 engine in it.

A sport plane only needs 125 Watts per pound to fly well.

A 60 in a US60 is...

G90 is a bit much.
I don't think a 9 pound plane needs 12.4 pounds of thrust to fly.

That's a good motor for it.

With a 14x8 APC prop at 9,500 RPM you should get 9.8 pounds of thrust at 71 MPH estimated flying speed.

Just make sure you can clear that 7" of prop coming down....

I don't think it's the prop. Sounds like a displacement problem. My brother had a similar problem when he put a 427 into a Pinto. Try taking out the .61 and put in a .40 or take off the 40 airframe...

It would go for $350 without the motor. Then again the 2500 is big'ol heavy chunk of metal. I like the looks of the new 2300's I need to get ahold of one and see how it will do on a 3-blade prop.
