Looks like you’re off to a good start.

A YS 110/115 is a lot of engine for that airframe but perhaps the added weight will be welcome.

I have an Ultrasport 1000 that needs a complete...

In the past, I had lots of problems removing old monokote without heat. It would tear easily. Then I tried using a heat gun while pulling on the covering and it came off much easier. I don’t use a...

The US 1000 is all monokote. Should come off easy especially with a heat gun. I’ll strip it all down and re-profile the nose section down to the ring. I may have to lighten up the rear fuselage/tail...

Not sure of the weight yet but it does have a lot of washers for weight up in the nose section. That’s why I was thinking of the S2500 instead of the G2300. Assuming they both run well, the CG will...

Congrats on your US 1000 kit. If you start a build thread I’ll follow along as well.

A good friend of mine gave me an already built US 1000 airframe. The covering job is real ugly (all black with...

Frank Bowman use to make piston rings but I heard he retired. Now there someone out of the U.K. that makes them. For a ringed engine a new ring is all you would need to bring it back.

That's too...

That's right. There's the header pipe as well.

The newer surpass engines have larger valves for more power.

You should be be able to get new bearings and piston rings for it.

Here's the OS FS-120 I have. Just needs a good cleaning. I had to have it because I like the dual rocker covers. The muffler seems tiny for it though. From the sounds of it, it doesn't have enough...

I suppose you could make improvements to the plans/design and call it something else. Case in point: Sig Four Star 60 & BTE Venture.

Personally I'd move the canopy further back and maybe add...

Eureka only cuts foam core wings for all the US series. Great Planes/Hobbico doesn't do that. Some people prefer to build them that way anyways. Just order and/or buy the plans on your own and...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I don't have experience with this engine however, in the case of pumped 2 strokes the carb venturi is larger and won't run well if at all w/o a pump. I would try a perry pump (VP-30) if you aren't...
