RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I bought the plans before the 60 size kit came out. It has to be one of the easiest plans build ships I have seen. The kit is nice but you shouldn't have any trouble cutting this guy and building...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Box Car,
Thank you. I had to ask since I think the 80" wing was to accomodate IMAA events. 77.5 really doesn't make much dif. and it's good to know that the 1000 is still available in some...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I have not gone to Eureka's site; is the 1000 they fabricate a 74 or the 80" wing? Any other changes?

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Need more rudder and practice catching it just as the airspeed bleeds off. There's a transition there; you'll get it. The US does great stall turns, a lot of fun.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Any way of finding out how many US60 kits Tower has sold since they spooled up production again? They are still making them, a good sign.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

It's true about the Chipmunk vs the US, two different flying ships. I found the US to be a precise ship as opposed to the Chipmunk, but I really liked how the Chipmunk could be wrung out, knife edge...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Ah yes, clearing the prop. I never paid attention to that; When Mr Feldmann made his prototypes, one was a taildragger run by, I think, an Enya 90, and his commentary was on the speed of the ship.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I need to score another 60 size kit. What's this moving the retract gear out 1 bay? Is that for tail dragger setups?

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Too bad ST doesn't make a rear exhaust design; I still have some of the old X61's and they ran very well. Actually, 'X' reffered to the port design, not the direction of the exhaust although most...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I will be building mine as a trike retract ship. That said, moving the tank back into the mid fuse will call for a pumped engine, mine being an OS 61 RF-P. Otherwise, one could use an external pump...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Yes, great photo, but these guys are a little hard to find. I run into one now and then on the for sale section here(a place where I can get into trouble real quick) but I don't think anyone is...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I apologize for any confusion in my text here; I refer to the part as a wrap around header, not a full muffler. The header wraps around the engine, effectively configuring a side exhaust engine into...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Actually, the wrap around header would be utilized so as to let the cylinder sit horizontally, sticking out on the right side of the nose. Being a side exhaust engine, the ST would have the header...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I will need to find a wrap around header for the ST 2300; any suggestions since I think Karl Mueller is retired?

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Now let me ask this: from your experience, is the 60 size more fun in terms of aerobatics and speed, or is it the 1000?

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Fortunately, I have a 1000 kit; the ST 2300 might be a looker on this one, but I do have an OS 1.60 FX. whatever the case, I will need to procure a wrap around header for him.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Is the ST 3000 too much engine for the 1000 or just too much motor by size of engine block? What would be the best glow engine for this guy for performance; BTW, I will use a pipe. My US 40 had an...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

No, thank God. I was at Castle in Merced, late '70's, early '80's, and we had an ADcom detachment there as well, the 84th FIS. Even then one could tell ADCom was being defunded and we on the SAC...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I would like to request #106(I worked on the F 106 Dart in the service) if he's open. Do I need to post a shot?
