RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I had the same difficulty with my US60 and RIT dye. I always died my canopies but this one, although it did take some color, it wasn't close to what I could do in the past. Just left it longer and...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Depending on the engine you have to cut F1 down anyway. check that on the plans. I think that only for the 4-stroke you leave F1 complete.

Mine was built per plans and down's seem to need any down trust. I check with the straight and level at full power then cut to idle method. Seems fine.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Thanks for the detailed reply Zor.

I read your notes and I believe we fundamentally agree on the subject.

I hope that it wasn't anything I said that made you upset. I actually enjoy...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Zor,

I agree in that the forward CG is not the reason for being able to fly slow, it is the tendency of the plane to keep its nose up with little trim change during an approach and increased up...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Just an update on getting acquainted with the US60. It is truly getting better and better and I am starting to understand what the hype about the US60 is all about. It truly is a great flying...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Thanks for the suggestion Zor. In reality I am just joking. When the plane is flying by at 200 mph I can't really tell if he's happy or not. Maybe he's only upset in the ground because he wants to be...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Steve,

I think it is one of the pilots offered by Great Planes. It's the one that looks upset although I don't know why since flying should be fun :)

the pilot is a tad big but fits ok. You...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Hi Gang,

Yesterday I got another 4-5 flight in my new US60 so now it is up to a total of about 9-10 flight. Some things I learned:

1.- I got the Great Planes retracts with Hitec gear servo...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Question to the group: I reported that I was a tad disappointed about the roll rate in my US60. I am sealing the aileron gap today but I wanted some feedback on aileron travel you guy haves on your...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I just wanted to add to my comment that my plane has a buzzing sound but it is not flutter. The sound is most noticeable when the airplane is taxing in the ground. Its almost as if there is a...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Thanks TJ,

I am not very original when it comes to graphics and essentially copied a Yak scheme but modified the nose to make it all black. I still have to add checkers to the wing tips and I am...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I just wanted to report that my Ultraport flew today. It was a little windy and my intent was to just do some taxi trials but it just wanted to fly so I opened it up and let it go. Flew great!!.

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

I know diddly-squat about the US40+ but it sure looks cool. I think I would keep the kit if I were you. I got curious and looked at the manual for that plane. I liked the detailed instructions on...

So I purchased the covering over the weekend and I am...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Funny :)

But it is true. I'm not quite into the electrics yet. But I got my son a Hangar 9 Alpha 40 trainer and the thing has this super quiet Evolution 40. It's kind of neat. Yo almost just hear...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Thanks Mike. So do you know if having a sizeable gap ( I need to measure it when I get home) is normal in the GPkit?

BTW, I just got my new engine (OS65AX). Yes, I know it is not a 75 or 90 but I...

RE: *** Ultra Sport Brotherhood ***

Hi again,

My question today has to do with the engine mount on the GP 60 kit. It is not what is shown on the plans and the holes in the plan would not work. The mount is labeled for 40-70 but is...
