I use Spring Air retracts with 3/16" wire struts...

I use Spring Air retracts with 3/16" wire struts and fly from a grass field ... no problems unless I make too hard of a landing and bend the struts. If I do make a hard landing I check retraction...

My US60 with OS-.75AX,APC 14X8, Spring air main gear retracts with 3/16" struts, weighs 8.125#. I can fly straight up until I pull the throttle back! A larger engine may give more power...

Hi KaP2011 ,
I have an US60.(See post #1819 and 1822) I am running an OS .75AX with an APC 14X8 prop, Omega 15%. Lots of speed and vertical. Try it you will like it.

Hello everyone,
Just found this thread. I have been flying a US60 I built for two years. Mine is powered by the OS .75AX and uses Spring Air retracts. I love how it flies!
