BVM Kingcat with AMT Pegasus
Hey guys, after selling my Kingcat years ago I just bought it back yesterday, it was offered back to me at a smoking deal so I grabbed it. I will be putting an air start Pegasus on the airplane and was looking at the mounting set up and wondering if spacers were used with a Pegasus. The small angled aluminum blocks are on the jet but the mount spacing would end up being very very narrow if I use the AMT band mounts. I suppose it is supposed to use the BVM mount for the Pegasus typically? Or what have you guys done who put AMT's on this jet back in the day?
Thanks in advance!

I have everything you need as I had to retire a Pegasus KC from a bird strike in air, IT would be the carbon pieces and aluminum blocks and ears ready for straps, I have straps to but you should have those. I also got flex plates, I am headed to swap meet so it will be late tommorow before reply, make me an offer to motivate search.
I also have a Zero time Pegasus SP 30lb thrust, Air start original ECU that has zero time on it with the upgraded TC that does not need the hook bend. $1500 OBO

Indeed it has my friend, indeed it has. She still looks pretty good, but part of me really wants to do a refinish on it. It's got quite a number of new scrapes, chips, and some damage to the underside of the nose. Part of me says just fly it as is, but the other part says she's lived this long and been flown as hard as she has been, she probably deserves some new clothes.

Flew my Bobcat XL which has not seen air time for 2 years, the ole Mercury roared to life and was surprised to see 142K on the MAX throttle set, must be the cool fall temps. Anyway I had forgotten how cool the gear multi hole plates create a whistle on landing attitudes, I like the look of this ole school jet as it has the Bandit fuse shape over the GUPPY composite version.

Very different airplanes actually. I thought about an Olympus on there but I got a deal on a Pegasus I couldn't pass up. Truth is when I owned it last I had a prototype booster with 44lbs thrust and much lighter than an Olympus (450). It was great fun but I was flexing the wings flying it. I have this problem with my left hand. There is a disconnect between my brain and my thumb on that hand that allows it to operate rudder during flight but keeps the throttle pinned all the time. I should probably see a therapist about that lol.
The Pegasus will be just fine. Even with an Olympus it still wouldn't be a fast as my raptor or firebird so I'll keep it a little more fuel efficient this time and try too keep the wing tips from touching.
