Hard at work. Pieces lock together easily. Complicated build but quality and engineering oitstanding. Using titebond glue as recommended by PA.

For those that have never built an Avonds Jet, its a pure pleasure. Excellent engineering and design. I highly recommend them if there are any builders left!
Looks great Tom!

All foamies are build and flying, so is the Rebel hot.😬
Once the ultra Bandit is done, will get back to the Fouga with no more projects in between 😷

2 weeks into the build and this is it. I expect to finish the tail this week. Wings will begin after that. I expect 3-4 weeks per wing. Its very detailed construction but lots of fun. I have an update kit for the wings I will incorporate to strenthen landing gear area. Phillip asked me to docunent the changes for inclusion on his instructions. PA kits are truely a work of art. One does not have to worry about questions and support when building a PA kit. He is fabulous to work with.

Poor planning on my part caused a short delay in building. I needed some PVA to help install the tailcone and had to order some, will be here tomorrow. In the mean time I decided it needed a bath to remove the PVA mold release. When this stuff gets wet its slipplier than greased snot. Afterwards I cut the canopies except for the rear one and will get it tomorrow. As the tail group build continues I will be able to work on the canopies as glue cures. I hate to admit it but an error cutting my stab sheeting will need to be corrected before tail group is finished. Rectrocranial inversions will add 2-3 days to my completion of the stabs and tail. Read the instructions CAREFULLY! Still a great kit and I am really excited about it. It's big when you plug in the stabs!

Great job Tom.

You are right ... that's a kit you can't hurry or guess.
RCSB has a great forum by Wim Reinders. I would say, it is a must !!!

Merry Christmas

Jack

Tom, mine is from the RC Jet Center ARF kit. I purchased it used off Craig G and wanted to give it a make over. I’ve just finished the cosmetic change, i applied a fantasy paint job i designed based off the RCAF Tutor training scheme. Happy with how it turned out. It had already flown under Craig’s ownership so i’m aiming to get the model geared back up and flying next year. Enjoying your build, keep posting!!
