RE: Official Muggy thread

Dunno'.. But the Muggy is very sensitive as far as gearing goes.. Basically, the chassis flexes too much, causing clutches to fry. I ended up getting this alu rail to drill into the chassis left...

RE: Official Muggy thread

I would not put bigger tires on.. The Muggy's achilles heal is gearing, which strains the clutch. Bigger wheels will make it worse. Put the 12T CB on, and check that the clutch is in good...

RE: Official Muggy thread

I'm skeptical that RPM's are worth it to be honest.. They're good for sure(have them on my LST2..), but they're expensive. Don't forget you need spacers and the Lunsford links to go with them......

RE: Official Muggy thread

My front tires also balloon like crazy.. Supposedly to fix that you should put heavier diff oil in the center diff - like 20,000 or so.. I've been too lazy though.. Also depends on the tires...

RE: Official Muggy thread

Looks offset.. I tend to agree with the comment that offset wheels make the Muggy handle like a tanker.. Looks cooler with offset though..

I ran my Mug today on a dry hard dusty track - was shredding it up with the LRP - and yes, Proline LPR Crimefighters with 0 offset...

They look good too.. :D

RE: Official Muggy thread

Truggy.

It's a burlier basher truggy that gets included in MT forums, cuz truggy forums are populated predominantly by racers.

RE: Official Muggy thread

Do you guys reckon this home-made chassis-stiffener bar will help the Muggy chassis-flex problem - yes or no?

It only goes on the left side there next to the tank.. It weighs 85 grams btw... ...

RE: Official Muggy thread

I have an engine dilemma. Because I had a Nova with a big clutch with the one-piece mount in my Mug, I had to file down the chassis a bit. I kind of think this just added to the chassis-flex.

RE: Official Muggy thread

Then get Losi Zombie-maxx or Proline Badlands.. Big Joes won't work on a Muggy.. Unless you want to replace diff bearings every 1/2 tank..

RE: Official Muggy thread

Big Joes for a Muggy?

Tip number one for every Muggy owner is get SMALLER, LIGHTER tires - not bigger, heavier ones...

IMO, Dirt Bonz, or maybe Badlands are ideal for a Muggy.. Though I...

RE: Official Muggy thread

Really??!! THAT bad?? It seems like, if you tighten it too much, it binds, so then you try to loosen it to where there's a nice balance of not too much binding, but not too much slop... I think...
