52oz on a long nose like the spit seems like a lot. Like you said, I would see what everyone else is getting and check the cg location again. I like balancing my warbirds upside down when possible...

I build support for required weight to balance....

I build support for required weight to balance. Use small foil containers of makeshift shape to melt lead into size I need.
Epoxy and screw to support. Lead seems to work itself free if not secured...

How are they holding up in hot days. Does the composite oilcan or weaken. I did notice one at an event and the plastic interior desorted in sun inside canopy, pilots seat headrest had droped (fallen)...
