RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

flyrc - the only reason yours is not fried is because you are disciplined and there is throttle management. I did well on the first flight with stock motor and 4S, after that when I heard the high...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

Whissel ... careful, that set up pulls 60A WOT and it can kill the packs ...

I tried the same set up ... not really keen on it now. A lot of power but no speed, verticals are good. I used 2,500...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

Tomme ... I sealed it with packing tape, no leaks too. She is ok on 4S but again its hot and humid here. You tried diving her really steep and then pulling level for a low pass near you? :) Can hear...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

I got No. 2 ready and she will maiden tomorrow morning. Anyone noticed that this plane seems to be pretty nose heavy? No. 1 was the same. I did use the 2 ball bearings but its still nose heavy. With...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

If its the stock motor and 3S then you best get someone with large hands. You will need a very hard toss if not then best to run a bit and toss her. If someone is launching for you make sure they...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

Just maidened the Twister ... in one word ... SLOW! On 3S or 3S with the stock motor its not more than 60 mph, probably about 55 mph only. I think it needs a hot motor and a 4S battery pack.

...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

sherlock - if your 2,100's are 25C then its ok I am sure. If its 20C then take it easy on the throttle. Go to RCG and see the data they have there. I will run mine on prob on Flight Power EVO25 3S...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

I am starting to get mine up ... she is not that simple to build, you need to be careful and plan ahead. If not you will get parts that have not fitted properly but the CA has cured or wiring that...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

Rob - the batts are only 16C and when its loaded the battery is holding its voltage at a lower level. It would be great if you can run on the new 25C batts of about 2,170 mAh. Today branded 20C and...

RE: Multiplex Twister EDF

Rob - how many Cs are your batts. For my 70mm fan I will be running 2,500 20C packs as a minimum. The Twister with the Himax motor will be pushing 40+As. Your batts will be working hard. You running...
